La Jolla Farms initially began as an equestrian community, with homes constructed in the '70s and '80s.

Most homes have since been torn down or completely remodeled. The stunning ocean views and wonderful sandy beaches make the area incredibly desirable. La Jolla Farms has since transformed into an affluent coastal community.

The neighborhood's location is by the Torrey Pines Gliderport, where hang gliders jump off the bluffs. It overlooks the steep rugged terrain, where you can find trails leading to the secluded Black's Beach. It attracts fashionable surfers for its powerful waves. La Jolla Farms scenic landscape makes it one of the most desirable areas in San Diego.

Another neighborhood to mention within La Jolla Farms is Blackhorse. This small community is formed on leased land owned by UCSD and has "newer" homes for La Jolla. It is among the few gated La Jolla condominiums. The homes' prices reflect smaller attached townhomes —a great start-up option for younger families or short-term investment.

If you're lucky enough to be able to own a home in this area, you've certainly made it! You are fortunate enough to be situated next to a world-class golf course, Torrey Pines, Torrey Pines Lodge, Estancia La Jolla Resort and Spa, the Birch Aquarium, and Scripps Pier. With such tons around you, you'll feel as if you're on vacation all the time with public access to Blacks Beach from the neighborhood. neighborhood. course, Torrey Pines, Torrey Pines Lodge, Estancia La Jolla Resort and Spa, the Birch Aquarium, and Scripps Pier.
